Vistra Communications, an award-winning industry leader providing integrated marketing, communications and consulting services, is pleased to welcome a new human resources director, Karen Hanes, MBA, SPHR.

She instinctively understands and is committed to championing our core values of client success first, quality service, positive community engagement, respect for others and developing and maintaining meaningful relationships.”
Hanes, a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), brings more than 20 years of applied and instructional HR business experience to Vistra. Her background includes work with several Fortune 500 companies and international HR, including IBM, General Electric, BE Aerospace and Nabisco. She served as director of human resources or as a senior HR business partner for Matter Brothers Furniture, PAYCHEX and Wendover Art Group.

Hanes earned a Master of Business Administration degree in Management and Organizational Behavior from the University of Central Florida at Orlando and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts with a Spanish Minor from the University of Tampa. She is a certified Zenger Miller trainer.
