CREATING A SENSE OF
BELONGING & ACCEPTANCE

Vistra was selected by the University of South Florida to help identify relevant stories, establish media connections, and amplify the USF message. Our specific work includes connecting with faculty and staff, talking with students, and telling USF’s stories to media outlets – both mainstream and minority. Messages were crafted in a way that is culturally relevant and spoke to the benefits of students in a specific communities considering USF as a choice for higher education.

SHARING EMPOWERING STORIES

Vistra worked alongside USF’s Office of Communications, including representatives from the St. Petersburg and Sarasota-Manatee campuses, to share empowering stories of student and faculty success with the surrounding communities.

Slightly more than 40 percent of USF’s student population is minority, and the institution remains committed to fostering diversity, equity, inclusivity and accessibility. The university focuses on ensuring that enrollment reflects the surrounding community and to creating an environment where all students feel welcome and experience a sense of belonging.

To that end, Vistra amplified  stories that spoke to enrollment and success, as well as initiatives and topics that resonated with multicultural communities to supported the university’s communications and public relations goals.
