VETERAN OUTREACH FOR
AN ESTEEMED EVENT

The Honda Classic was a prestigious PGA TOUR event, representing Palm Beach County’s largest professional sporting event, now known as The Classic in the Palm Beaches. With a substantial viewership averaging four million individuals, the tournament reaches its audience through prominent platforms such as the Golf Channel, NBC Sports, fuboTV and the CBS Sports app. Vistra provided Veteran outreach, media relations and public relations for the esteemed event.

ENCOUNTERING UNIQUE CHALLENGES

Vistra tackled the unique challenge of reaching veterans who were geographically dispersed, without a centralized source for individual veteran or veteran organization contact information. We developed a comprehensive community outreach and engagement strategy, tailored to connect with military members, veterans and their families. Our outreach efforts stretched nationwide to include prominent veteran-related organizations.

The communication campaign achieved remarkable success, facilitated by various outreach channels, including dynamic social media engagement. This outreach served the dual purpose of informing and extending invitations to veterans, active military personnel, and their dependents, inviting them to be part of the celebrated event.
